He's the King, I'm the DJ

I was pretty much done with posting any more MJ mixtapes...but this one is from DJ Jazzy Jeff. This man is a legend and as he proved at the VH1 Hip Hop Honors --- he could probably still destroy 99% of DJ's out.

Props to UNDRCRWN for making this happen.

Their niche product, the Wrecord bracelet, comes in designs from silly to sophisticated. Get Your Grown Man On

Moving away from their bright patent leather strappy lame kicks to a more clean cut "grown up" look, Supra comes correct with their 2009 Fall Collection.

Every skater and hipster has been rocking the Skytop for a few years now --- if you are legit you even have the skytop in a couple colorways.

Thankfully we now have the Thunder and The Dixon to add to our closets. Both sneakers are subtle and concentrate on being a basic, premium, every day piece of footwear.

I like.

A+R Design

I randomly came across this website and want to buy everything...now you all know where your birthday gifts will be coming from.

"A+R is British ex-pat Andy Griffith, a former film editor and self-avowed design junkie, and Rose Apodaca, a pop culture and style journalist.

We obsessively seek out the newest products, aiming to offer them first. We cherry pick the best from the best manufacturers. We don't settle for product simply available through domestic distributors: Challenges be damned, we import from anywhere in the world. We never sell anything we haven't personally handled. We love everything we sell.

In a sound bite: Global design. Edited."

Well that was a whole lot of blaw blaw blaw but peep these cool thingys:

Young Jeezy X Terry Richardson

I saw this on some sites and simply skipped over it. Jeezy had the chance to make an incredible video for My President Is Black but kind of left me unsatisfied. Then I saw that this video was directed by Terry Richardson and figured it was worth a look.

Shot by Terry Richardson at New York’s five-star, hotel Plaza Athenee, “Circulate” contains contributions by Gabriel Hart, who documented Young Jeezy during the historic Presidential Inauguration weekend in Washington, DC.

Fuck Vampire Weekend

Fuck them for bringing the boat shoe back...but if i were to wear a pair....

Via High Snobiety...

"Shortly after working with Asics, Colette and LaMJC have now collaborated with Sebago on a boat shoe. The collaboration does not come with much surprise, considering the current hype around boat shoes. The colette colorway comes of course with a signature colette blue sole and a light blue upper with custom label."

MGMT in Playboy!

Via Kanye...

Text Via TripWire:

When Playboy’s March issue hits newsstands on Friday [today!], the guys of MGMT will be able to take their rightful place in the silk-pajama’d hall of fame — they’re among a handful of artists chosen to participate in this year’s Rock the Rabbit campaign for the magazine’s annual sex and music edition.

Playboy launched Rock the Rabbit in 2007, each year handpicking a group of musicians (both up-and-comers and legends) to take a stab at redesigning the infamous and iconic bunny-eared logo. They get to offer up any sort of artistic interpretation of the bunny they’d like, and the artwork is featured on limited edition tee shirts, which you can buy here. A portion of the proceeds go to charity.

MGMT is one of a select few of the participating bands actually appearing on the glossy pages of the world’s most infamous men’s magazine. They were photographed (the photo above) by legendary rock photographer MIck Rock for the spread. Pun totally intended. MGMT’s Andrew VanWyngarden had this to say about the band’s work of art:

The inspiration for the design came from our love for Playboy and new yorker styled cartoons. We’re very into cartoons, the rest of our merchandise line is in fact a series of original cartoon characters designed by our friend Dan from our descriptions of the characters.
