Lykke Li - Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow

Lykke Li just dropped by to let me know that she just recorded a cover of The Shirelles' "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow". Lykke Li loves that old doo wop scene.

Shouts to Frankie Lymon.

Jason Segel made a surprise appearance at the Swell Season show in LA last night, and premiered a new song!

Jason consulted the Swell Season's Marketa Irglova for songwriting tips and she told him to "include as much personal information as you can."

B.O.B. X Whynatte

You must be wondering, "what's Whynatte?" Well it's the best drink ever made. Ha - it's espresso and a Jaeger shot - tastes delicious, gets you crunk, and it gets you liver than that white stuff.

If you are really interested peep their site or just stay hyped for the film "23 Seconds".

Hysteric (Acoustic)

Via P&P...

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs have just released an exclusive iTunes Originals album which features some old stuff, some new stuff, and some different versions of stuff. Here is one standout from the release, an acoustic version of "Hysteric".

Karen O is out of this world. I'm not sure if i like her better on high energy tracks where i want to jump through a wall or these slower acoustic styled tracks where I just want to hold her to my chest and have a good cry.

Girls in Minnesota

Via SV...

A few days back all the rage on the hipster-net was a short interview with the band Girls featured on Minnesota Public Radio. It was the most jealous New Yorkers have been of Minnesota-ians (whuh?) since Kirby Puckett roamed center field. On the show, Girls played a new song called Heartbreaker - it is beautiful in that depressingly beautiful type of way.

I love it.

Empire State of Mind II

Last night at the P.C. Richard & Son Theater in Tribeca, A Keys premiered the second installment of “Empire State Of Mind” found on The Element Of Freedom.

WOW.

And can you believe that "Empire State of Mind" is Jay's first #1 single? He has had eleven #1 albums and has been featured on three #1 singles - but this is his first #1 single?! Crazy world.
