Last night I got to see the airing of the Woodies (Click to see all performances) --- MTV's College Music Award Show.
Overall a nauseating experience (even while fast forwarding via my DVR).
Asher Roth opens the show? Why don't these kids seem to know who Q-Tip is? Paramore (who?) - best album?
Overall I was left thinking - damn I wish MGMT was there cause they would at least be shit faced and maybe start a fight with Vampire Weekend or something.
The night ended with Chromeo and Vampire Weekend teaming for a remix of "The Kids Don't Stand a Chance". (Coincidentally the dude Josh - the corporate inspiration for the song - can be seen multiple times through the entire show.) The performance was struggling though - made me cringe at times. I recommend checking out the studio remix (below) and deleting the Woodies from your DVR ASAP.
