I ran into Julia a month or so ago and she told me she had just finished recording her album and my first thought was - "another dreamer! get a job!" (Yes I drink the haterade on occasion.) She left me with a flyer for her show and even though I assumed the worst I checked out her myspace page.
Boy was I wrong! She is amazing!!! She sings a folksy blues rock -- it's kind of like if The Band, Tom Waits, and Norah Jones all had a love baby together.
She drives a motorcycle, her dad plays harmonica in the band, and she is adorable. Swoon.
