Wavves is a lo-fi tiny pop band - they make classic California rock music, filtered through punk rock and a whole lot of distortion. The suburban slacker ennui is abundant, with songs like "So Bored," but who doesn't enjoy a little teenage angst from time to time?
They are 2009's current huge internet buzz band - so even if you don't like them - just pretend so when they get big you can say "oh i used to like them before they sold out."
They play at Vassar College on February 5th, The Market Hotel in Brooklyn on the 6th, and at our friend Alex's venue - LessArtistMoreCondos - on the 7th.

I love Wavves. Besides the fact that So Bored is a great song, anyone with a song called Weed Demon is clearly marketing to the H-man. Also, the 3 or 4 songs he has with the word "Goth" in the title? Swate.
