After 6 years of dealing with the guilt alone I must share...
6 years ago I went to see a concert at Giants Stadium - one of those multi stage - not very fun - full of big bands events. Radiohead and Beastie Boys headlined which was pretty awesome but the big deal looking back was the fact that Elliot Smith played the smaller stage. What I am hear to admit is that I chose not to head out and check out his performance. A few months later he was found dead.

I was at that concert too, also missed Elliot Smith. I heard from a friend that he was a mess. All hepped up on goofballs. Don't beat yourself up.
