THE CYPHER

The highlight of the past few BET awards have been "The Cypher" sections of the show. "The Cypher" is a throwback to grass roots hip hop where a DJ would play one beat for multiple Emcees to spit there newest or hottest verse. BET has brought this back and then pumped it full of steroids.

The award show was filmed a few weeks back and word spread quick concerning what went down...Here what we've been waiting for ever since rumor spread...

DJ Premier, Mos Def, Black Thought, and Eminem...



Besides the three gods above...there were 2 more cyphers. Despite word above the above cypher, many critics noted the hottest verses may have come from two unlikely Emcees...Joe Budden and Nicki Minaj. (Still don't understand how Nicki Minaj's ass exists.)
